Suggested needles:

Circular needles 3½ mm (US4) – 40 cm and double pointed needles 3½ mm (US4)

You can also knit the whole hat at circular needles 3½ mm (US4) – 80 cm using the magic loop technique

Gauge: Pattern stitches lightly stretched using 3½ mm (US4) needles: 24 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4" x 4"
