Miami - Printed
Miami is a blend of 60% merino wool and 40% cotton - it has been spray painted in various shades.
The yarn is loosely spun - and is in terms of strength a bit fragile.
-
Miami is available on cones at minimum 500 gr.
-
Approximately 350 meters/383 yards per 50 gram
-
Knit with one thread at needles 2.5-3 mm/US 2-3 (Approx. 26 stitches = 10 cm/4 inches).
-
Knit with two threads at needles 4-4.5mm/US 6-7 (Approx. 21 stitches = 10 cm/4 inches).
-
You can use a washingmachine - on a cold delicate wool program.
Note: Miami contains a bit of spinning oil and excess dye. The oil and excess dye will disappear at the first wash - and the yarn will bloom and become softer.
This quality is not supported by shadecards - you can see pictures of the different shades.
I draw back my first revision. The colour green is nice and pale. The yarn is very fragile and loose spun. You habe to be cautious when touching and winding the yarn. Fibres are really short and break easily. But knitting is possible. I started with a little sample and it works well. The knitted piece looks even and touch is soft. Miami seems to be perfect for summer knits or for garments for the little ones.
