Samarkand is a 2-ply yarn, mixed by 75% Pure New Wool and 25% Silk.

It combines the softness of Pure New Wool with the sheen and elegance of Silk; Creating a beautiful and very soft yarn.

Samarkand is available in 25 g and 50 g skeins - and cones at 500 grams.

Approximately 575 meters/627 yards per 100 gram/3.5 oz

Needles 3-3.5 mm/US 2.5-4 (Approx,. 25 stitches = 10 cm/4 inches). With double yarn at 4-4.5mm/US 6-7 (Approx. 16 stitches = 10 cm/4 inches).

Note: The yarn contains a little spinning oil. The oil will disappear at the first wash - and the yarn becomes extremely soft.

You can use a washingmachine - on a cold program.
